I sin.î What comes to mind when you say those words? ñI sin.î Do you see it as no big deal or say to yourself, ñSo, what. Everyone does.î Like you David, the King of Israel, sinned. He was caught lying, coveting, committing adultery, and even murdering another man in an attempt to hide his sins. But his response was likely different than yours. David cried out to God, ñAgainst you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgmentî (Ps. 51:4). The difference between you and David is that he understood who his sin was against and whose law He broke. All sin is against God. Jesus said that unless you repent (turn from your sin and turn toward God) you will perish (Lk. 13:3, 5). Jesus also said unless you believe He is God you will die in your sins (Jn. 8:24). God has provided only one way for you to receive forgiveness of your sins and freedom from the eternal punishment of Hell. God the Father sent His Son to earth in the person of Jesus Christ„fully God and fully Man, yet without sin. He voluntarily went to the cross where he shed His innocent blood and died„not for sins He committed, but to take upon Himself the punishment you rightly deserve for your sins against Him. Three days later He rose from the grave. God commands you this day to repent and believe the gospel. ñI sin.î What do those words mean to you now? www.YouGotOurTract.org
