This study guide is written in such a way that it can be used with any unabridged publication of Holiness. Even if you are working through it with a group of people, it is not necessary for everyone in the group to have the same publication of Holiness, so long as everyone’s copy is unabridged. If you’ve already flipped through the pages of this study guide, you immediately noticed it looks a little different than other study guides you may have used. You may have even said to yourself, “Where are the blanks on which to write my answers?”
Well, there are none.
You’re welcome to write in this study guide, if you like. It’s yours, after all. But there isn’t enough room for you to do all the work. That’s also intentional. For this study, you are going to need a notebook or a journal or your computer (if you prefer typing). You will likely not find a single question that will allow for a one word, yes or no-type answer.
In The Practice of Holiness, I don’t want you to simply go find information in Ryle’s book and transpose it onto an empty blank on a page. The goal isn’t to pass a test or write a book report. I don’t want you to regurgitate information. I want you to think.
