To kneel or not to kneel. That is the question...

Back: Kneeling has become an act of protest against social injustice. Did you know that kneeling is often a symbol of submission and not protest? The outward act is the same but the heart can change the meaning. We have been created to desire justice. â€Å“Many seek the ruler's favor, But justice for man comes from the LORDâ€Â (Prov. 29:26). While some escape justice in this broken world, each of us will stand before a Just and Holy God. Whoever has broken even one of Godâ€â„¢s righteous laws will justly be found guilty. If youâ€â„¢ve ever lied, stolen, or taken His name in vain He will find you guilty and give you justice. All who have broken even the least of Godâ€â„¢s commandments will be sentenced to eternity in hell. God is good and must punish all sin but God does not want any to perish. God demonstrates his love for us in this: while we were yet sinners, Christ died for our sin. God demonstrated His justice and His love through Jesus. He died on the cross a death He did not deserve in order to take upon Himself the punishment you rightly deserve. Jesus lovingly and freely offered His own life, the just for the unjust, so that in and through Him you can receive pardon for your crimes against the living God. On the third day Jesus forever defeated sin and death by rising from the dead. To receive this gracious offer you must repent (turn from your rebellion) and by faith alone receive Christ as your Lord and Savior. A day is coming when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father (Phil. 2:9-11; Isa. 45:23; Rom. 14:11). Repent and believe in Jesus today.
